Then blend, food process or mash together. You could vary it in the following ways, there are surely others, but these are ones I have tried:
- I add a mixed green powder, but spirulina is also good. I make it for breakfast every weekend or school (summer) holiday morning.*
- Add, carob (or cacao) to make a chocolate pudding. (Freeze bananas the evening before or earlier, to make an ice cream pudding).
- Add organic vanilla essence.
- Omit the powders and add greek yoghurt to make it more filling
Refridgerate IMMEDIATELY in hot summer months, or it tends to ferment, otherwise it will last for 24 hours in the fridge. *In winter or on school days they have Vegan Superfood Porridge. This is because it is warming, quicker to make and keeps them full a bit longer.
